Well im a twenty two year old canadian alberta boy born and raised. My parents are divorced and both happily re-married i have a fairly large and unconventional kind of family but i get alot of support from them so it works for me. I just started a new job in a new division of the company ive been working for the last year and a half. I work alot most of my life is spent on the side of a drilling rig location. I enjoy most of the same things a guy my age in this area enjoy like being out doors, partying on my days off, seeing my friends and family.

I've lived a pretty normal life had a loving family and parents that would pretty much do anything they had to, too keep my brother and I happy. I was always raised to work for i wanted though. Over the years i have had to deal with difficult things like lost of loved ones moving 600kms away from where i grew up, but ive always try to keep the possitive attitude that my dad instilled in me when i was young. So i've always tried to adapt and enjoy my changing surroundings.

The hardest thing ive gone threw in life was between the ages of 17-18 which is generally a hard time for any person. I was in a minor car accident just a fender bender (my fault) but no harm no foul, no injuries.(so i thought) About a month later i was hospitalized and the doctors had told me i had, had a stroke about a week earlier and they wanted to run some test. After coming out of my first MRI i had a massive stroke and went blind for about three hours. My vision slowly came back but i still have a small blind spot in my right eye. Anyways it turns out in my fender bender i had torn an artery in my neck and it flicked blood clots into my brain. So i entered my grade 12 year on blood thinners and a brand new blind spot which my friends thought was hilarious. a couple months went by and the artery "healed" and i came off blood thinners things were finally back to normal. Another couple months went by and i was out snowboarding with some friends being a dumb teenager thinking living through all of that i was invinsible on the contrary i broke my collar bone and dislocated my left shoulder. A month later i ended up back in the hospital suffering two more strokes these ones affecting my equalibrium so everytime i opened my eyes i would get instant motion sickness and get sick. Once again i was released on blood thinners a couple more months went by and i came off the blood thinners and things were getting back to normal. About a week and a half before my graduation during exam week i was out walking with a friend when things went weird the next thing i new i was being loaded into an ambulance seeing the terror on my mom and my best friends face from seeing a 17 yearold with a drooping face and a paralyzed left side and pretty much every other symptom that a stroke can cause. I was rushed to the hospital and given a drug to break the clots in my brain this drug saved my life. i walked out of the hospital the day of my grad still a little shakey but no permanent handicaps. It was decided after my grad that the doctors would go in and remove the artery causing the problem. The surgery was very scary for me after just turning 18, but the surgery was a complete success. I have not have a problem with strokes since then.
