Letting go of memories

I just read a book entitled "The Memory Keeper's Daughter", which was given to me by my oldest daughter after I bought it for her. What a turn around!

What I receive from this was the final summary, that we cannot capture moments, but that each is a step to the next. Our lives are a mystery and the path remains unknown to us.

I was thinking of this all day, when I decided to start letting go of the memories that keep me attached to the past, and to believe that the future has great mysteries yet to be revealed. This book reminded me that when we hold on to the past, we block the future from unfolding in freedom and joy.
