My Mother's Day!

My day started with odd feelings.  First of all I did not wake up in my own home....was at a friend's overnight last night and also did not have my kids as they were with their dad last night.

I knew it was Mother's Day but just did not seem like it with me not being home and not being with my son and daughter.

I returned home mid afternoon to an empty house.......still no kids was very quiet.  Finally a short time later they returned from their overnight at dads all excited with cards in their hands and flowers for me.  It is coming back to me.....lol.....I am a mom and it is also Mother's Day for me.

Then...a couple hours later my daughter becomes ill with a bad headache, feels very tired and has a slight fever.  So off I go to give her a cool bath, Tylenol and into bed she goes..............um yup I am a mom.....lol.  Even on a day that is meant for mom's to relax and enjoy our duties never end.

So on this Mother's Day I really felt like a mom.....was a good feeling......how these children of ours so need us.  I wonder if they ever will stop needing us...........I hope not....do you?

Always need mom

I'm an old gal and I still phone my mom regularly about a recipe, a piece of news I heard, or her opinion on finances or what I should do with the stray smelly dog I found. Hey she's got a couple of decades of living over me...so no matter how old we get, she's always wiser and more life-experienced.

No one will ever know me the way she does. We were just talking today about a dress I wore when I was nine. I hated that dress. We both remember it. And that is really special.

So yes! Don't imagine you will ever, ever be obsolete. Even if you have some of those famous years when the kids don't want to be seen with you cuz' you are way not Kool.

They'll come back. Smile

l know

l have received a piece of your heart, your kindness and yes your love and yet we have never met. Miss V you must always remember that you are a special person. Peace to you Miss V peace to you and one massive HIGH 5...
