says: I know what you mean regarding recorded affirmations with someone else's voice telling you what to do. However, I've noticed when I've used my own voice the effect was completely different and much more powerful. I mentioned in one of my blogs that it feels as though the message reached far greater and deeper levels when I used my own voice and that's how it continues to feel.

HI
thanks for you post, I am on day 32 and just starting this affirmation work. I also feel a little funny about it as I have had mixed results with affirmations before, but everything I've done in tools so far has worked so I'm going with it.
I'm still trying to understand how to put affirmations together effectively. I suspect that the more positive they are, and the more specific they are, when they are said, just lead you mentally in the right direction gradually.
The "I'm having a great day" stuff really works for me - it just gets me thinking positively instead of negatively. I don't think the other stuff we'll be writing is really all that different.
I hope that helps. Keep us posted on how you get on.

Hopefully other people will chime in on this "ask."
Here is my take on why it's important to do the recordings in this particular situation. Like you I have made self recorded affirmation tapes for myself in the past. I did those recording in a stand alone situation without other program features to boost me and support me.
The difference in this situation is that the recordings are just a part of the whole TTL course. As you already know there is more to TTL than just doing these recordings for yourself. If you were making chocolate chip cookies and left out the chips you would still have a sweet tasting cookie, however no one would mistake it for a chocolate chip cookie because you left them out.
My belief is that when you make the choice to get the full benefit out of TTL it is best to work on all fronts. This time when you make those recordings it will be in the comfortable nest you have build over the last 43 days of doing the other work. You have built up that nest and it can support this unexpected egg. Tend this new egg, do the work(the recordings) because it's supported by what you have already accomplished in TTL up until now(your nest). This time you are not doing the recordings cold turkey, you have accumulated support behind you.
