My nest is newly empty; both kids are in college. 

My husband has been battling lung cancer for almost 4 years.  He's been in a clinical trial for a drug that was approved by the FDA a couple weeks ago.

 I found ToolsToLife podcast a couple years ago and enjoyed them. While trying to update a new MP3, found this site and decided this could help with personal growth.

 Teaching 4 year-old's cooking and gardening.

 otter

 When my son was about 6 or 7, he wanted to get a pet otter. He was so cute talking about it, then we found out his teacher had an otter in a lake near her home. I've always had a fondness for otters since then.
