Day 2: Dostoyevsky Begone!

What a great way to start the day! I am considering bumping the priority of Tools up above my NYT morning review!

Negative self-talk is something that I have struggled with for a while. At some point in my life, I started to romanticize the notion of myself as some sort of downtrodden, working-class hero (I blame my affinity toward Russian Lit and the Beat Poets). The older I get, however, I'm starting to realize that these paradigms don't really hold up well over time. I seem to have outlived their usefulness.

I'm making it a top-priority to replace my inner-Eeyore with a more useful voice. I'm committing today to be vigilant against negative self-talk and lean on my inner-optimist, in order to spark in myself the catalyst for change and success.

Sounds great!

Looking forward to hearing how it goes cultivating the inner optimist.
