Work just got a whole lot less fun

Not that it was fun before mind you. I can't stand my job and I'm leaving as soon as I find another one. But back to the point.

I work in my parents company repairing and maintaining office equipment. It's a thankless job and I make crap money (there is totally a better word that could go there but I won't). There is absolutely no nepotism at all and considering that I'm the heart of this company and nothing works without me and they are hoping that I will take it over when my father retires I think I should get some damn perks.

Anyway, my father has been gone for the last month or so on vacation in a house on a lake that he paid for with my blood and sweat. When he is gone things in the office are less pressurized than when he is here. When I pulled in to the parking lot today and saw his truck I instantly felt every muscle in my body seize up and my mind went blank. I do not like my father in case you missed it.

Upon entering the office he said "hi' to me and it was all I could do to not spew a stream of expletives at him, turn around, and leave. I really can't stand him and I felt like hitting things until candy came out.

Once I got my calls I headed out immediately found a place to park and tried to ground and center myself. Once I had unclenched my jaw I started to try and find some kind of opportunity in this and after a while I came up with it. I am going to send out a bazillion resumes this weekend and get the hell out of this company.
