I saw Transformers on Saturday

My mother insisted that My family and I join her, my grandmother, and my sister on Saturday morning to see Transformers. She had seen it before and thought I needed to see it in the theater.

So somewhat grudgingly we went and beyond having to deal with my mother I had an amazing experience. That is to say my child who has been locked up in the dark recesses of my soul forced his way out and made me remember sitting for hours playing with my Transformer toys when I was seven years old. Basically this manifested in me crying any time the robots were on screen.

You're mileage may vary.

Same Thing - Different Movie : - )

Awwww, I think it is awesome that your mom thought that was important for you.... it sounds like maybe she still understands about our inner children being part of our lives today as well. GOOD FOR MOM!! I think it is great too it became such a family affair.... even if the movie HAD BEEN forgettable, the memories made in such times together last forever. GOOD FOR YOU and YOUR FAMILY.

{{HUGS}}

Your story tugged at the corners of my mouth and pulled it up into a SMILE as well as my heart strings. I JUST RECENTLY had a similar experience..... although I never played transformers... I was one of the most creative imaginative kids always making up stuff for everyone in the neighborhood to play all the time.... apparently my husband said he did when he was a kid too (we didn't know eachother then unfortunately haha) But we went to see BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA and we both felt like it sounds like you did with Transformers. We could just picture the two of us playing like the two kids in the movie.  It was SO US. We are still kids at heart besides carrying our inner children with us inside and when we were getting our tickets in line, my husband PURPOSELY said "Two tickets to Bridge to TAPIOCA please" everyone laughed. That's my baby and best friend buddy ol pal tee hee. wink

I hope you and your inner child have MANY MANY more special and FUN moments together. HUGS TO BOTH OF YOU!

You make me smile You made me smile and my inner child too! NEVER stop playing and being a kid at heart!
