What is Love?

Hi....I haven't disappeared off the face of the earth, just been a bit caught up in "life" well now I'm again on track and loving "Tools to Life".

Today I wanted to touch on the excellent subject of Day 37 "Love"  a great and interesting subject.  I recently attended a seminar (The MentalToolbox) I won a couple of tickets to the weekend and thou my husband wouldn't come with me he was cool to stay home with our 3 little ones.

One of  the activites we had to do was pick a person we didn't know in the audience and sit knee to knee, stare intently into each others eyes without breaking eye contact and when asked the question "What is Love" the other person talked for 5 minutes continuously on the subject without breaking eye contact, then we had 5 minutes of silence and then the next person was asked the question.... this went on for about 7 times each, needless to say I wanted to strangle the course facilitator.... No seriously!!! it was fantastic, first was all the surface fluff that came with telling someone your interpretation of love then it got very deep, there were tissues and tears and it was very cleansing....I thoroughly enjoyed the exercise and toward the end I felt like I had really connected with the true person not the surface person of the guy I had picked from the crowd to do this exercise with.

Thanks so very much Tools for Life....Devlyn ... and of course myself, for I am truely learning to love MYSELF.

Loving yourself

We have a small support group here in my over 55 community. I've chosen to lead them in a week or two on the subject of loving yourself. I'm collecting stuff to use to make the whole thing interesting.

Why don't we all learn to love ourselves? I'm really not sure, but I know that it is very, very important if we are going to go anywhere with the things we want to happen in our lives.
