Becoming More Me

Sometimes for complicated yet simple reasons, changes in us, be they physical, emotional or spiritual, where we begin to really open up that door and become our right and true selves--can cause us anxiety inside, and in relationship.

We might fear our growth will hurt the feelings of others; make them angry; or force us to leave them behind. We might feel guilty, or afraid.

Sometimes others make it clear that YES they DO feel angry, or left behind, or weirded out, or hurt, by the changes in us.

But most of the time, I 'm thinking,  we're  holding our own self back. These other people are just echoing what we already tell ourselves--that's why and how we connected with those people in the first place.

So. I want to support myself, today, to be my right and true and highest and best and most fulfilled Self. And I want to support everyone else to be that, too. Go ahead! Make the leap!  I think I will create a MAKE THE LEAP To Do List, and Goal Tracker, and Affirmation Board and Collage-- a little MAKE THE LEAP kit for myself, in Tools. Make the leap in to the character of me. Culminating (MAYBE) in my sky dive, next year.

Because no one else has to, or gets to, or will, live MY life. It's all mine to make or break. What others feel or say, if it holds me back, will be like ...back ground noise. If it celebrates, supports, encourages, guides and joins me, I will turn the volume way up.
