D32: Use the Force Luke

Envision:  These basketball players divided into two groups. One group practiced hard, the other group practiced some but mostly  envisioned the ball going into the hoop, over and over. Guess which team played better a month later? I've been seeing myself in much better physical condition, as coach suggests as the place to begin. I GAINED a pound! But today a friend I haven't seen in two weeks says, "You look ten pounds thinner. Are you on a diet?" Now how can my envisioning myself in better shape cause someone ELSE to see me in better shape?? Huh? Tell me that. (Nah, don't tell me. I'll just enjoy it.) I'm sure it's somehow related to the things I've done to improve my life, health and outlook. Maybe happy looks thinner?? It makes me laugh, though.

Happy

I dont know about thinner, but happy sure looks healthier (and IS healthier) and that is the point anyways, isnt it?!  Good job!

Happy is healthier

aha. So my friend could have said, "You look ten pounds happier..."  Tongue out  Yes I get a kick out of it and it must be related to my health/happiness somehow. I guess that often when we improve something it has that stone in the pond ripple effect...it shows up all over the place where we didn't expect it.

Now...I'm off (over there to the lounge chair) to watch The Story of the Weeping Camel.

Netflix software swears it's my kind of movie. And that machine has been right.  If you haven't seen it, 2 boys cross the desert to find a healing musician for their friend the baby camel.  ( I see you are actively welcoming and commenting in the community. Kewl. (I understand the in spelling is Kewl. Right?) thanks for your feedback and remarks. (and cartoons)

Kewl-e-o

WB,

I guess I am not very kewl, because I never spelled kewl like this: k-e-w-l. Wait, I have now done so, making me kewl.

Kewl!

And unless the Camel dons a cape and thwarts crime, it probably isn't my cup of tea. ;)

But I'll check it out anyways.

Phone Booth

Batman doesn't need a phone booth. He has a highly secure information network uplinked into every mainframe on the planet.

It is monitored by Oracle, who was once Batgirl.

And I'm sure it wouldn't surprise you to know that I smile every time I see a phone booth.

Kewl.
