Saddled Up!

I've been having a week of ups and downs...I had to get out of a relationship that was showing signs of dysfunction,a work we've been buffetted by the state health board and corporate office and emerged in good shape on both accounts,my lab analyst certification is good to go and I had to process some residual grief for someone I lost 2 years back...Out of all of this I learned that sometimes when we embrace some situations in this life,it's best to 'saddle up' and either ride into or ride out of keeping as much of your self-esteem and expectations of success intact...I had to "ride out" of that relationship seeing it would not be productive to either party by saying in...And I definitely had to ride into the buereaucratic storm of corporate policy ans health dept.SOP's to emerge as the competent employee I know I am...I apologize for this lengthy blog, but it's all to inspire you to stay "Saddled Up"

More ups than downs

At the end of the day you seem to have done the right thing in those 2 situations, so you have inspired. I get audited every few months or so, so far so good, I don't judge the bureaucracy, they have their job and their place. And relationships , sometimes its best to move on.

Way to go! Way to go!

It's always better to make a decision.

If you don't make the decision - ride in, ride out -  then you relinquish control over your own life and a default decisions is made for you.  You've definitely got the right idea.

Don't apologize for the length of what you say.  If it's important, say it.  This was and is important.

the ups and downs that you have experienced sounds like the title of one of my favorite books by willie Jolley
