Trying to Find Ways to Improve

My parents also both suffered from depression. My childhood was very difficult, and I felt very hopeless and lost through much of it. Now, as an adult, I find myself still dealing with depression. I want to improve my life. I went to NNAMHS for help. They accepted me, and are supplying me with free medication. I also have the opportunity for free group counselling, which I was so excited about. But there just isn't a way for it to fit into my extremely busy schedule right now. My boss has been overly generous in allowing me to leave for appointments a lot lately, and I was in the hospital and had to take 2 days off work a couple of weeks ago for a kidney infection. At this point in time, asking for more time off would just upset my managers. But the open invitation is there, so I will most likely pursue it a little later, in a few months or something like that.

For now, I am going to use this Tools To Life program as my therapy. It seems therapeutic so far, though it's only Day 1 but I think it will get even better as time goes on. I just know that I need to DO something. I can't just wait to feel better. I need to be in the driver's seat.

Cheer up you

My dear girl...

Such an open and lovely way of looking at your happenings... you are definitely a very sensitive and nice person first and foremost... so just hang in there... you will get into the driver's seat soon and take good care of yourself for now and ever....

First thing you have to learn to do is understand that you have control over your mind... that is not allow any negative thoughts enter and cause havoc..

You can.. yes you will.. for that first you have to convince yourself.. that is there is no such thing as right and wrong in this world.  and all happiness is within reach of you.  Once this becomes a slogan of yours.. nobody.. nothing can make u feel down or for that matter make you feel in any way a lesser mortal....

So you please write to me if you need any kind of support... by email... but what I want for you is to just beleive in yourself  and love yourself entirely..

Take care...

Hugs
