Hello Fellow TTL Friends,
I would like to ask you guys for some feedback on two Support Groups I am considering adding!
One is a group for those who, like me, are by nature introverts. Not shy or withdrawn or anti-social; (though these are unfortunately some of the labels most associate with the introverts personality), but powerful in the unique way we interact with the world around us-and the world within us!!
The other group is a place where anyone and everyone can go to for a good laugh! I know humor is a very diverse creature. What is funny to me may just be plain dumb or tasteless to someone else. (Having just added the "Grateful Tool" to my toolbox made me see that having a good old, down to your toes, sides hurting, laugh out loud moment is something I am Grateful for!!) Sometimes, just the act of telling (or typing) a good joke, a funny observation, or sharing a funny picture or video that made you laugh, can make you laugh all over again, even if no one else "gets it"!
I will not pre-screen entries, nor will I set the "approve members" option for this group. I trust that all members of TTL are compassionate, intelligent, mature adults who, regardless of the type of things they find funny, will self regulate themselves on the content they submit. BOTTOM LINE: If you can stand in the middle of a room filled with at least two males, and two females, of every race, color, nationality, background, political affiliation, religion, social status AND their minor children, each armed with an extremely over-ripened tomato**, poised to lob at you, and you are still comfortable sharing your funny-then share!! You do not have to elicit happiness or laughter; but you MUST NOT elicit sadness or tears!! (**this does not apply to those who may find being showered in vegetables that have gone bad enjoyable**)
Thank you, TTL members, in advance for any and all your input!!

says: I am too an "introvert" by nature, used to feel bad about it...not anymore. I've tried to fit in...or be part of the crowd, but to no avail.. And yes i would like to be part of it as well.

IMHO (In My Humble Opinion) you certainly don't sound like an introvert. I'm the official "red-headed stepchild" since I only recently joined (I'm on Day 2 of the program)
I have found that I'm not so shy in an internet setting (not that I go in the chat rooms, etc!!!)
I'll keep my eyes open for a new support group.
As for the 2nd group...laughter is great therapy, but I'm terrible at telling jokes. I guess I could tell stories about the stupid things I do in the course of my day.
See you around!

says: I'm very interested in the introverts group. I'm one; I married one; one of my children is one; and my dad is one. Despite all that, I have not always felt comfortable with who I am - I tried to become outgoing and social like my mother, only to fail miserably because that wasn't who I was! Let me know if this is started or gets started!
