BOOST TO BOOST

you're right I missed out the fun stuff on my vacation blog - where I camped was where Tom Thomson painted 'The Jack Pine' - stellar surroundings for trip. I've canoed the Moon (nice gouges in my cedar strip canoe from that! but worth it) and more than few people have suggested Massassauaga - I think I'll go next summer.

I joined TOOLS because:
Yes, I am self-reliant and, yes, I know what I need to do if I am honest with myself. That being said, I know that it does not hurt to widen my perception for I truly believe that once I learn to do better I do better. This program seems to offer the insights I need to open my vision more to clearer truths.
You are offered your dream job. What job is it?:
I would be a writer that would inspire, console and make my readers laugh. I would be able to reach out through print and touch others. I would have something of value to say.
My favorite wild animal is:
 Hmmmm, I like the penguin.
Why (describe as much as possible):
The penguin has a dignified acceptance of its duty in life. It walks for miles on end to fulfill its destiny with a quiet resilience. It works in partnership with its mate and its community. And, at the end of its trials, it still knows its way to walk home.
My favorite domestic animal is (if you choose dog be specific with breed etc):
If I were to choose a favorite domestic animal, it would have to be a mutt (my cocker spaniel and border collie is a nice mix).
Why:
I'd choose a mutt because they tend to pick up the best of traits of the breeds and yet seem calmer and unique. There is no pretense to them and they are not a statement of any kind...just lovable loyal and happy.
A famous Chef will prepare anything you want. What do you order:
Chef, please, fix me a fresh tossed salad of the most vibrantly colored vegetables: dark green spinach, brilliant green and red peppers, luscious rosy tomatoes, spring green onions and snap peas. Kiss the salad with a delicate lemon herbal dressing. Serve alongside this mouth watering salad an assortment of tasty succulent seafood delights fresh from the ocean.
Why:
I'd order this because it is delicious tasting and deliciously healthy.
Five people either dead or alive you would have at your fantasy dinner party::
Welcome to my dinner party, Albert Einstein, my grandmother (my mom's mom), Christine Applegate (I think that's her name...off of "Married With Children"), Emma Thompson and Stevie Nicks.
Why:
Albert Einstein...because he seemed like a calm unpretentious man with much wisdom and insight. My grandmother...because I only met her a couple of visits to England and only as a child. I remember her has a quiet resilient loving woman and I would love to talk about our family history together...and, I must confess, to make up for my self absorbed teenage behavior when I last visited her in England so many years ago. Christine Applegate...because I saw her recently on The Dave Letterman Show and she looked beautiful and gracious as she talked of her breast cancer and resulting breast removal. I sensed great strength in her. Emma Thompson....because she embraces aging with dignity and respect for the wisdom and freedom it can afford us. Through her roles and personal views, she celebrates the beauty and value of the older woman. Stevie Nicks....because I wanted to be her in all her hauntingly romantic gypsy-like songbird beauty. Even though her life has not been easy she has prevailed.
If a pilot would fly you anywhere you want, you would go to:
Transport me to a small Greek town of white dwellings perched on the side of a hillside looking over the fishing and sail boats of the clear turquoise water below.
My perfect slice of pizza is:
A pesto chicken pizza with onions, fresh Parmesan cheese, olives and just a few hot peppers on a thin crisp crust. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
You are at a bar. You order this drink:
 A nice aromatic full-bodied red wine...Merlot.
You are at a coffee shop. What coffee or tea do you order:
Depends on the mood...black coffee of good quality or a green tea.
If a genie could grant you three wishes they would be (separate by commas):
Genie, please, let me find my soul mate who not only gazes lovingly into my eyes but stares out in the same direction as me, allow me the talent to write professionally something worth saying, and grant me a beautiful successful bed and breakfast as my gorgeous home in a natural setting that welcomes interesting people from all over the world.
You are going on a long road trip and you can only bring three CD's. Which ones do you bring (separate by commas):
Of course, I would take Fleetwood Mac's "Rumors", a mixed CD of songs that make me dance and feel psyched, and a mixed CD of the most gut wrenching primal Blues.
If I could do anything for my neighborhood today, it would be:
I'd throw a street party and invite everyone to mingle and get to know each other past the perfunctory wave we give each other as we pass each others' lives.
A sunset I remember:
The sky was a blush of deep pink over the calm Moon River, a loon called out hauntingly, insects made up the chorus and the fish broke the surface of the water with accented splashes. I watched it all from the granite perch of my campsite faraway from civilization and fellow man.
Any character I could be from a movie, TV show or book would be:
I would be Cinderella in the movie "Ever After"(played by Drew Barrymore).
Why:
I want the "happy ever after". I want to find that kind of love that I just know to my core to be right and that comes from two individuals that accept and respect each other for being strong, creative, free-thinkers, diligent, loyal, kind, fun and adventurous.
