Day 90 !!

I thought about my Tools journey the other day, and to be honest, I wasn't incredibly impressed with the progress i thought I had made in these 90 days...until i actually made a list of what had changed in my life since. So here it goes.

The first thing....that i totally overlooked (and can't beleive I did), was that I quit smoking. In the last 5-6 years, I remember that whenever I'd ask myself if I could have one thing, anything.... my honest final answer always came down to quitting smoking. I realize now that I felt that way because quitting seemed completely impossible and that only a miracle, or some  magic wish could change that. Hands down the achievement I'm proudest of.

The second thing is I lost the 15 pounds I put on when I quit. Funny. My goal was to get back down to 185lbs by january 25....and I came within a few pounds. More important is i've increased my boxing workouts 2 fold in that time,  and changed the way I perceive eating and food. My goal is to get even fitter, and this summer run up the mountain in under 1hr 15.

I also realized that I've put into practice a whole bunch of attitude changes and behaviors, some of which happen automatically now. I've become more caring and compassionate, postive, and patient with people.  My relationships with strangers, friends, and especially family have totally changed. I've discovered meditation...at least as a 'concept', stretching ( not sure how i did without ), breathing (nice) , and an ongoing sense of self awareness.  The life changing tool, for me,  has to be the goal tracker. This has totally changed my life. Its almost as though you decide what you want, fill in the blanks in the tracker, work, and it happens. Actually thats exactly how it works. The sense of control is amazing. The only obstacle is staying calm, and focusing on one goal as opposed to 40.
