 i have been doing alot of changing in these past few weeks i kicked a drug habit i dont drink anymore im looking to move to seattle from a small town and im changing the way i think, but one thing that bothers me is my mom. she acts like what ive done so far means nothing, i have not gotten a im proud of you at all.and she says i dont think your going to move. it really bothers me. i know what she says shouldnt change the way i think but it does

Just keep following your dream

They will always be people who don't show you they really feel.  You could have completely traumatised her by wanting to leave.

 

Keep following your dream, give yourself lots of high 5's and enjoy the journey.  What other people think doesn't really matter.

 

Note - I have done lots of major things in my life and my mother has never said "good work" to me ever.  It is just the way she is.
