I am 51, divorced, have 3 grown children, the youngest preparing to leave for college.  I work as an administrative assistant at a local hospital.  I enjoy reading, knitting, painting, shopping, movies, stumbling across new websites like this one.

I would like to date, but am currently not because I have been disappointed so often in the past with the men and serious question my judgment. 

Today, I am dealing with an elderly parent that is critically ill.  I am lonely, and I am tired. 

I served 10 years in the Navy, got married, had 3 children.  13 years into the marriage, my ex-husband committed several white collar crimes including embezzlement and writing bad checks in the thousands of dollars.  He was arrested and sent to prison, leaving me with 3 small children and no income, as I was a stay at home mom.  It was later discovered that he was bi-polar.  

At any rate, I got a job, juggled things financially, raised my children, put all of them in college, and am proud of my accomplishment and my children, one of whom has her Master's degree, the other is studying to be physical therapist, and the last on her way to becoming a teacher.
