Beknec's Life List:
I was 8 I dreamed of going to Sweden. On 13/3/1980 I arrived in Stockholm, not for a moment thinking about the fact that I was on the other side of the world, all by myself. I had the best 7 weeks of my life and can still feel the coldness of snow falling on my tongue for the first time. It was really awesome to hold a snowflake on my finger and see the complexities of shape and colour - perhaps this is where I first got the idea to draw Celtic knots?

Magazines

I'm looking at magazines to find pictures for my life collage (day 52).  A friend lent me some Oprah magazines a couple of weeks ago when my inner voice suggested I do a life collage (psychic little brat isn't she!).

Well after looking through them from cover to cover, I realised there wasn't a single picture that I wanted for my collage!  In fact, apart from the occasional inspirational quote, there really is nothing in Oprah for me.

This got me thinking about the magazines I do read.   I don't read very many, probably on average one a month.  Trashy hollywood gossip mags don't get a look in - apart from the occasional wait in a doctor's surgery or the like.

House decorating mags are so far removed from my day to day life that they have no bearing.

The only mags I have floating around the house are health and fitness mags - but not one single one has the word "DIET" on the cover!

Guess Coach is right, what we conceive and believe we achieve.   Obviously if I am buying health and fitness mags, then my thoughts are on my health and fitness.  As I believe this is what I want, it is only a matter of waiting for my body to catch up, and do a few stretches and crunches, and eat a few healthy meals while I am waiting.

thanks ooops

thanks for the heads up.... i am just about to go out for indian..... totally over accessorised....i look like an eighties cover band with a call of the wild indian twist..... it struck me that i have been reading the vacous 'womens' magazines recently - and i am making a correlation to my current appareal.... what you say is true - i know they are banal and trashy consciously - but they are also implicit - in my case i have perhaps become so full of info its  (the information on the pages ) has moved to the explicit.....Yikes!! On a positive note you are right what you surround yourself u become... Thanks for the detail.....
