I love the Beatles, Tears for Fears, U-2, Dan Fogleberg, Annie Lennox, Fleetwood Mac, & Contemp.Christian music
Books:
My favorite books of all time are "Gone with the Wind", & the Bible. I also like Mark Twain, Mysteries, Self-Help books, Cookbooks, & anything by Joyce Meyer.
Favorite Places:
I enjoy quiet places such as County Parks, old country churches, butterfly & flower gardens, fields, any place to enjoy God's creations.
I Want To See:
I want to see my daughter get married and also to see her children (my grandchildren!) growing up. I never tire of seeing an eagle soar, or a beautiful sunset, & a rainbow after a summer rain with the promise that goes along with it!
Hobbies:
I like to sing like nobody's listening & to dance like nobody's there! I enjoy caring for my houseplants (pruning IS therapeutic)I like to collect recipes & to cook IF my kitchen is clean?!? I like to drive around on country roads and get lost. To find antique or quilt shops in the middle of nowhere AND actually stop & NOT buy anything, but stay and talk for an hour. I'm a simple kind of person, who likes to do FREE things!
Activities:
Grocery shopping is like a social event for me. In Iowa you can actually TALK to people in the stores. I enjoy attending my Ladies Bible Study Group...we can get pretty WILD, lol! I like to watch BIG 10 Basketball. I also collect twisties and grocery sacks (just threw that in to see if anybody REALLY reads these things!) I enjoy learning things on my PC or TV. I'm a fan of "Dancing with the Stars" and "How Clean is Your House" on BCCA.
Sports:
Like I said...Big 10 basketball. Also Grand-slam tennis. Texas Hold em Poker, if you consider that a sport.
Movies:
I like Comedies, Romantic Comedies, Action flicks like Romancing the Stone, Indiana Jones. My faves are GWTW, Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, Weekend at Bernies.
TV:
Heroes:
Helen Keller, Oprah, Eleanor Roosevelt, Mark Twain, Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, Mother Theresa, and, last but not least, JESUS.
