BOOST TO BOOST

A boost for you today... I hear what you are saying about why you started Tools. I had the same situation... a full life and suddenly no big challenges, just time to enjoy.... but something was missing. Finding Tools and a focus on living my retired life with the same discipline and enthusiasm I put into my career has turned that around... Continue on your new path... you still have a lot to experience and share... In Joy, so2u

I am a 50 year old man, lucky enough to wake up every day with the love of my life, living in Richmond, VA.

At various times in my life I've felt 'right on track'. I went to college at age 38, started a new career as a software developer a couple of years later, divested myself of almost everything I owned and bicycled across country over a two year period. During those times I seemed to be doing things well.

I am also very lucky to be the father of three extraordinary people. As a father, the only thing I felt 100% confident in was loving my children. The specifics of how to handle each new event in their lives has kept me off balance (although not always in a bad way) pretty much from "Honey, I'm pregnant" until now.

Those children are grown. My finances are fairly stable. I have no daily 'emergency' most days.  And I am failing.

I'm failing to live my days. Instead, I often end up at the weekend with no clear idea of what happened since the last one. What I want from Tools is a set of habits that will help me exchange each day for a full day of satisfying life. So far, (day 81) it is paying off very well indeed. But each morning is a challenge, and I'm not winning them all yet!

You are at a bar. You order this drink:
 Guinness. duh! :)
You are at a coffee shop. What coffee or tea do you order:
 Decaf latte or chai
