I have already started my book some 20 yrs ago and I am convinced that todays readers could not understand what us old codgers experienced in the 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's. 

A very different time of morals, goals, integrity, passions, reasons for being in itself/

Most of what is today was not yesterday and you can take that to the bank. 

What are my dreams?  If you have some time I will tell you some that come to mind quickly:

Rapes become history = men, women and expecially children are left alone!

Domestic violence history - I mean it takes a big man to beat up on a woman!

Pedophiles conquered so children are not abused.

Slavery is taken down

Every form of abuse becomes history!

Divorce also becomes history!  You make a commitment, stick with it, you loved each other once, find a way to rekindle it.  Make really sure before marriage that you are right for each other. 

Men who abuse their woman, their children should be dealt with swiftly.

Men who father children should assume full responsibility for their care without help from the law.  Dance to the tune, pay the fiddler.

Cohabitation before marriage should be ended.  This trial marriage takes away all sense of responsibility later on - easy for either to just walk away.  Commitment should be the law of the land to each other, no matter what.

I feel like I am on a soap box because no one else will agree anyway.  So why bother?
