I was born on Thanks Giving Day in 1955.  Four Days later I was adopted by two very loving and caring people who had no idea of all of the pain and heartache that was in store for them.

By pain and heartache I mean that I would be a very sickly child that would need constant care and patience.

The problems all started when I was four years old.  I started having sore throats and they took me to two doctors one that said that I should have my tonsils removed and the other that said I should not.  Well, needless to say my parents listened to the first doctor and had them removed.  But haver the surgery, the real problems started.  I had caught an infection of some sort.  (The doctors never could figure out what type of infection that I had).

But by the time I was ready to go to school, my parents took me to another doctor that said that the best thing they could do would be to place me in a home for the mentally retarded, because I would never be able to cope or deal with the real world.  My parents said no to that idea.  (To this day, I thank GOD that they didn't do what he suggested).  What they did instead was to place me in special education classes.  After all the testing was said and done, it was discovered that I had a learning disability, and did NOT need to be put away.

With the support of my parents and teachers I was able to complete high school and 2 years of college!

I worked on and off for over 20 years as a sccretary and computer operator.  (So much for what that very silly doctor said).

I have even gone back to school and gotten my certification as a floral arranger.

I had to stop working due to other health problems arising and to take care of my ailing parents. Both of which I have lost.

For the past eight years I have lived alone with for the most part only my cats, computer, and television for company.  I find that I am happiest when I don't have to measure up to what other people think that I should do.

I have a friend that comes to check on me almost daily.  I have a couple of great neighbors that come by to make sure that I am ok and to find out if I need anything from the store.

I spend most of my day sitting at my computer working on getting my website up and running in the green, (as of right now it is still in the red) but I am hopeful.

My hopes for the future are modest, I just want to be able to do adopt a child and give them the same type of love that my parents gave me, do some traveling, move from the apartment that I have been living in for over 30 years, to stop worrying about finances, to be able to do some of the hobbies that I have without having to worry about the cost.

I want to be successful online!  And I know that with GOD's help I will be.
