Sleep

Today lesson was on sleep.. Which is a good thing, because I been having trouble falling asleep.

Now, I understand the idea that if your sleep is off, everything else is off. I agree, being I attend night school, finishing up my degree. Sleep is a thing I cherish. But getting to sleep as been an issue. I don't feel tired, at night instead I full awake and ready to take on the world. I have been a night person most of my life. I am trying to change this to be a all day person!

Today, as I write this I am tired.. and Confused.. The other night when I had my issue, I ended up getting around 4 hours of sleep, before I was up getting ready to tackle another great day. And I was fully functioning no issues.

Now today, I got a little over 6 hours last night.. and I struggled to get out of bed.. I was exhausted, like I been up for a week straight.  And want to go back to bed. I am struggling..To grab hold of the day.

But, i am looking forward to tonight and the new sleep routine, I just wonder how I am going to do it when School starts back up. ( Ie, I get home around 10:15, make a quick bite, need to do something to have my mind shut off, usually watch the Daily show and get to bed around 11:30. )   But, will tackle that when it comes time.

Sleep

In a few days you will be getting more information from the good ol Coach on having a night time routine and doing a few things (does not take long) to help relax you and prepare you for a good nights sleep! Something in the program to look forward to! Good sleep is oh so important! I make my sleep a priority... if I didnt, I surely would not have the energy I have right now.

You can do it, keep going! You can do it, keep going!

its hard...

to fall asleep if you`re used to staying up all the time. i`m not as far along as you are, and i`m not sure what kind of advice you get on falling asleep. but i used to have a really hard time sleeping, i`d just lay in bed and be stressed and get upset because i hadn`t fallen asleep yet and the night was ticking away.

i found that counting backwards from one hundred really helped me. count slowly and just think about the numbers. breath deeply with that `in with positivity, out with negativity `if it doesn`t make you sleep, it`ll really clear your mind and make you calm.

I hope that helps :)
