Right now I have had the opportunity to read, read and read some more. Right now I am reading, "A New Earth Awakening to Your Life's Purpose, " by Eckhart Tolle. This book was endorsed by Oprah for a class that will start March 2008, next month that I have signed up to be a part of. I'm so looking forward to being a part of that book club. I mainly ready self-help, gardening, cooking and novels. I don't belong to a book club right now, but in the past I have been a part of three books clubs at the same time. I was a busy girl reading all those books. One book club was Self-Help, the other one was reading only novels and the other book club was reading a variety. I got burned out, so I've decided to just read on my own for a while.
Favorite Places:
I have several places. The first one is home, there is no place like it. I love to either be alone or have guests over. Either way it's a great place to be. Another place I love to be is in a book store. I can spend all day there and sit on the floor and enjoy the written word. I love to meet friends in coffee shops, even though I don't drink coffee much. I love to read in the park too under a big tree and watching people interact with each other. I love to go the the theater to see a good show and I love, love, love a dance group or one person shows where the show touches my soul. I love to get together with friends, sit on the floor with wine and discuss our different opinions. Nothing life diversity.
I Want To See:
What do I want to see. I want to see a woman or minority as our president. I would like to see us take better care of our planet. I would like to see the growth of a grandchild, I'm not a grandmother yet! I want to see my two sons have the lives they wish to have. I want to see myself age with dignity.
Hobbies:
Hobbies - Reading, gardening, home decorating, making new friends, collecting words of wisdom, oh, did I say reading...
Activities:
Activities: I have been involved with volunteering in the presidential campaign. I am active as most women are in shopping. My favorite places to shop are garage sales, auctions and second hand shops. I love to sleep and a wonderful day may be to be unactive.
Sports:
I am not much into sports. Since my two sons have grown up I don't have to take them here and there for their activities which was mostly sports. I have been interested in football, basketball and golf in the past, but as I age those don't hold my interest as they use to.
Movies:
I love a good movie. My favoirte are cartoons and animated features that are for the children. I love a good love story. I am not into horror or scary stuff. I go to the movies to feel good, to learn a lesson or to relate to someone elses problems that help me know my problems are not half bad. I don't often and I can't remember the last movie I saw. I do love Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and those types of fantasy movies.
TV:
I'm not much into sitting in front of the TV all the time. I will go all day without turning my TV on. At night I only watch shows that totally entertain me like Dancing With The Stars and Bloopers. I'm not into the game shows, oh, I do love Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader, I think I like Jeff Foxworthy more than anything. I do not have cable, I refuse to pay them what they charge, so I have regular old fashion antennas. I have a TV in my office and bedroom. I watch the TV in my bedroom most of the time since I mostly watch TV as I'm relaxing for the evening. I don't watch the news, it has gotten so despressing and I don't stay up late enough to watch the late night programming. Every now and then I will luck up on a good movie. My favorite stations are PBS, CNN and HGTV when I had cable.

I Want To Meet:
Wow..who would I like to meet. I just met Barack Obama and missed meeting Hillary Clinton. I would have liked meeting her. I would like to meet Oprah and Charles Barkley, he's seems to be so real with his comments. I like to meet people that like themselves and not looking to make me their next project. I like to meet people that do things that I don't usually do to expose me to new things. I like to meet people of all ages that have open minds, caring hearts and inquisitive minds. I want to meet people who want to meet me!
