MRI Machine

So i have been having issues with my right hand strength for almost two years but i just blew it off (normal guy right) but just after new years my right thumb started developing a knot and it was always sore and hurt like hell when i just barely bumped the knot.  so i go to the doc and he says i need an MRI because i had either torn something or had a tumor.  this did not set well with me because in february of 08 i had to have an mri on my back and i thought i was going to die!!!  those machines are like coffins!  i was only in it for like 18 minutes but could barely breath, not cool!!  so i figured an MRI on my hand would be just as bad and i did not want to do it.  well luckily this clinic had a branch with an appendage mri machine and you sit next to it, stick your appendage in and it does its work.  its like a tenth as loud as a full size machine, the chair was comfy, it was so nice i almost fell asleep twice but had to stay awake to not move my hand.  turns out i have a badly injured ligament that has allowed my thumb to slip off its joint at my hand and its the joint that made the bump.  i have to have a 90 minute surgery at some point.  so i am REALLY happy i went to that particular clinic and got a doctor that listened to my fear of the MRI!!!  i recommend it to anyone, it can do any part of an arm or leg with no lose of comfort, its so cool!!!!

It is all about just asking

Why do we forget to share our fears.  They are so often able to be worked around.

Have a great day! Angie
