what a difference 7 months can make

I've stopped waiting around for Spain to approve my resident visa. In fact, they did approve it, but I decided that I did not really want to make the move to Spain after all. It was a most difficult decision to make; I'd spent 8 years planning, re-educating, saving and focusing on moving to Spain and building a business. I've laid all of it aside with the consolation that I can pick up the context at another time.

Part of the 360 is that I'm now in SE Asia. I've been here about six weeks and was miserable flitting around Malaysia, Viet Nam, and Thailand too quickly. I don't like to travel. Despite all of my commitment issues, I just really cannot stand moving around without getting to understand a country I'm visiting. I've known this for years.

I'm now more than content in a small, cold and rainy tourist town in China. I'll be here two weeks before setting off to manage tea tours of China with http://www.sevencups.com

All very exciting and nothing like my life was a year ago. My climbing is very lacking, unfortunately.
