a bad idea, I think
Let me first congratulate you for actively analyzing your thoughts. I bet most of us came to this website without that skill.
Why is that particular exercise difficult for you? Take a minute to analyze why you find it is a barrier. Does it pose tough, personal questions which require you to look at yourself honestly? Be honest with yourself, take a deep breath, and press on with the day. Complete all tasks, then click the finished button.
I feel the coaches would tell you that skipping a step to get ahead is self-defeating. Each day builds on lessons learned and reinforced in the previous days and weeks. The process relies on repeatedly "overwriting" the bad habit or behavior with the new, healthful habit. Perhaps it would be wise to take a few steps back and really cement the early positive habits?
the thing that has been most helpful to me is the habit of immediately recognizing a negative thought as soon as I hear myself think it, then to take the proper course of action. Over time I feel it will be second nature for both of us.
don't give up on yourself. see it through for 90 days and give yourself a success to build upon.
my voice
Well, I certainly didn't expect a lecture as a response to my question. I was more looking for how others deal with skipping a day, if they do at all.
I skipped the day because it requires a voice recorder of some kind. I just don't have one and haven't each time I've logged on.
I'm going to stick with my gut feeling and move onward rather than let one lesson continue to stop my progress. Hardly going to wander around a village in China trying to find a voice recorder!
