decisions

What kind of processes do you use for making decisions?

Here's my current decision: I really want to settle down in one place for two months. It's tough to find an affordable, safe, and  month-to-month place. I've found one that's not affordable. I've justified the price because I'll only be there for two months. What are the other ways to approach this decision?

What do you think? Does each situation merit a separate way to make a decision or can a basic principal be applied to all decisions?
