I live in a small town in upstate New York next door to my childhood home. I love it in the country and enjoy taking long walks in nature.

 

My husband and I celebrated our 40th anniversary last year and took up canoeing.  We have two sons and one grandson.

 

I enjoy being Historian for the small town we live in and just recently took a leadership role in starting the first Historical Society in our town. I also became the first court clerk.

 

I love to quilt and it has taught me many valuable lessons. I operated a quilt retreat and B&B for a few years after I retired and closed it last year. 

 

At age 45 I made a decision to turn my life around from the self destructive course I was on. I charted a course for my life I called Life 101 outlining what I wanted to do, learn and be. I've kept going on a search for my wholeness and each year I've celebrated the process of this journey and how far I've come.

 A job that I make a difference in; that I have flexible hours, in a beautiful setting in nature, with people who are supportive, respectful and also enjoy their work. One that I use my organizational and creative skills and contributes to the community I live in.

 turtles

 They go at a slow, even, balanced pace.

 Cats.
Why:
 I love to watch them. They are funny and independent.

 Lobster Bisque, Prime rib and lobster, Mashed potatoes, Aspargus and Lemon Pie
Why:
 Because it's something I wouldn't prepare for myself.

Why:
 Because they are the people that supported and cared about me the most

 To make sure that our air and water was protected for all of us to enjoy. CAFO's would not be allowed in the neighborhood
