First Day

I'm making a change. This is about the lowest point I've been so I guess I can only go up.

I had heard about Tools to Life on the Jason Ellis Show but wasn't sure what it was. Today I finally sat down and found it.

I'm excited about it. The way I've been dealing with my life and depression hasn't worked so I'm optimistic about this.

My blogs and comments will be longer in the future. My hand is currently broken due to an anger management issue two weeks ago. So its hard for me to type right now.

Thanks for reading and good luck to you.

Tiny steps

You made a major choice.  You decided to change.

The first few days of any decision are the easiest to go back on.  Don't let this get you down.  Follow up each day.  It does get easier as you see improvements.

Follow up on every exercise/video/checklist.  It isn't easy, especially at first.  But you are training yourself to think differently.

I love one of the sessions where Coach says that if you took a person who was starving to death into a hospital, would you want a therapist to help him figure out how he got there, or a physician to get nutrients in his system and keep him alive till we could figure the rest out.

Right now you need the nutrients.  They are here.  It is a training issue, and I truly believe, if you want the change - you can do it.

Be optimistic.  You just took the first step to a better life.  Really.

I also joined because I heard him explain the program.  I have been doing it for a few months now and only in week 4.  Tools is helping me with my attitude, anger and other vices.  Keep it up and have fun with it.

RED DRAGONS...

Man, I can relate with anger management. I lost my cool numerous times in my previous relationship. That woman drove me nuts! But with this program, I've learned to curb that negativity and change it for good.

I can tell you I've been on this site five weeks now and every day it gets better, cody. keep doing it, apply the steps, and I can PROMISE YOU things WILL be better for you!

Good luck, sir. You're in for a great ride!

RED DRAGONS!

Right on, Bro!

Thanks for sharing your story.  Sounds familiar to me.  Tools has been a huge resource for me and it will be great for you too.

Just work it and follow each day.  And, if you fall off, just get back on again.  Little by little is the key.  (spoken from someone who used to wait til the last minute and try to save everything all at once).

Reach out if you ever need support!

Good on ya' mate

Ellis has been great in getting us going, glad to see you're here.  Getting here is only the beginning, you've grabbed the first rung on the ladder.  You WILL feel better, you WILL be better.  Keep with it, we've got your back!
