Wow. I woke up today feeling excited about my day.
If you've been reading my blog posts from the beginning you know that one of my first big changes was to clean my room. This is huge for me - probably the most ingrained and constant negative habit of mine has always been keeping a VERY messy and disorganized room, while cleaning it very thoroughly every few months, only to have it get messy right away again. Last night I saw that it was getting a little out of hand - makeup accumulating on the desk, baskets of shoes spilling out onto the floor, unmade bed - and consciously recognized the opportunity to dig my heels in against the current of habit and finish the job completely and thoroughly. It took much longer than I thought it would and I seriously considered giving up and going to bed many times... but I DID IT. This second session of cleaning is really much more important than the first I think - because this second session is doing something NEW, making a CHANGE in how I've always handled my room. I woke up today, sat up, looked around at the calm and organized space around me, and I felt the manifested results of my choice to live cleaner, more organized, more efficient, and healthier.
I headed downstairs and had a wonderful, lighthearted conversation with my Mom about her coworkers and my teachers - we laughed and laughed :)
I'm happy NOW, happy to be working towards my goals. I'm reaching for something, yes, but enjoying the journey quite thoroughly. :)
As always, leave a comment and I'd love to check out your page/blog/send ya a boost!
Thanks for reading guys.

you go guuuurrrrllll!
Good for you!
I am a hoarder and in therapy. I did not start to get better until I admittted the mess bothered me and was not the sign of a creative mind.
One of the things they tell that you might is to make a list of habits in each room that leads to mess, like
-not putting things immediately after use
-Thing that have home that are not where they are used
-things that don't have a home
-no room zone breakdown
-no room zone cleaning schedule
etc.
then they told me to make response cardsfor all the above say why I should make the change and what the benefit would be. Them you make one small change a month.
this month I am on finding everything a home near its use. Maybe you could start with making you bed daily. Think of the benefits of coming home to a made bed.
Keep up the good work
will power
WOOOHOOO!!
i dooo know how it feels...to wanna do sumthing but not have n e will power to do it...especially cleaning up.. but u have to do it, and the more i postpone it, the worse its gets, it turns into a big monster and it takes duble the time n energy. so.... its just hard to start, after u begin u just have to keep goin and think about all the fun stuff u can do after uve done ure chores....and a clean room does feel nice...u feel lighter and its like u can actually breath better, also i tend to find stuff i thought was lost forever, im gonna start cleaning out my drawers, its in my checklist n all, so i dont forget. im sure ill find lots of stuff lost in them.
sooo, ITS UP TO U N ME TO HAVE A GREAT DAY, SOOO LETS HAVE ONE!!
MAKE U SMILE TODAY!
