in a lot of pain

My heart is breaking.

What could be more crushing than to be in love with someone who is either not in love with you, or who simply does not have the skills necessary for a healthy relationship?  Either case IT is a self-esteem killer.  No matter how you try to take care of yourself, or work you program, one-way love is a misery as long as it lasts.

It hurts to reach out to someone who wont or cant reach back.  Even if we know the loved ones chemical use or other unattended emotional impairment is the real reason behind the rejection-its still rejection and it still hurts.  Even if we righfully say, "its his problem" its still our pain that we have to deal with.  Depending on the situation, what can and must be done varies greatly.

What dosent vary is the fact that we cant make sombody else love us, no matter how hard we try.  No matter how many extra miles the relationship wont move an inch either.  Until we can accept that and achieve soom detachment, we'll be stuck right where we are.  OTHERS HAVE SURVIVED DOOMED LOVE RELATIONSHIPS.  AND SO CAN I.

Hang in there! Positive thoughts.

We have all been there, may it be someone that doesn't feel the same way, a breakup, etc.

The important thing is to stay positive and take care of yourself. Work out, eat healthy, talk to friends, maybe even read "he's not that into you!" Nothing wrong with that.... you will soon find someone who is.

best of luck!!

yes it's hard

am i reading this into your post or are you a bit fed up with the usual respones (like "it's his problem..") you get when you tell someone your story ??

if so, then i can relate. don't let anyone tell you that it's nothing and shouldn't hurt you.

take good care of yourself :) don't let this overwhelm you.
