Smoked a couple cigarettes

I went to an audio party, its a geekfest where everyone listens to music, checks out new audio equipment and has fun. Everyone kept saying how great I looked, because I have lost a lot of weight. I havent dieted, just changed my lifestyle :)

But under pressure, I felt the need and chose to smoke a couple of cigs. I felt bad after, but didnt beat myself up about it. Its tough to not drink and be good at everything. I definitely wont drink, even if everyone is, because that is a very BAD decision for me. I had a good time... next time I will make the right choice, and I know it was a bad decision because I have felt like crap the last 2 days after. A lil guilt I guess, which has less to do with cigarettes but more to do with peer pressure and my view of myself.

The Age Ol Question

to drink or not to drink..... It's not easy I agree but i have found that in my 2 years of sobreity that remembering the way it was to wake up feeling like death was a great deterent.....A lot of my friends drink, A lot of them partake in all sorts of activities, that I exclude myself from, but one thing I always get from them is their respect for stickin with my convictions.....It's a step by step thing.

GOOD LUCK

JP

Hey buddy...just blow out the guilt and suck in fresh air

Hi Mike....its great to see your updated profile...looks like you have stayed on track.

I have just returned after a long absence, fell off wagon myself for a bit, but am back on track too.

Hope family is well.  Congrats on party achievements (we cannot expect perfection...or can we?)

Cheers

Look at the positive.........

The positive....   you CHOSE not to drink... and that is an awesome display of your willpower ! Keep up the good work Mike...

Way to go! Way to go!

Good on you

It feels so great to feel fit and stronger and to be noticed for it.  That re-inforces that you are on the right track.

Hope your family is well and you are enjoying your time with them.

Have a great day! Angie
