advice in putting on weight? (for guys with high metabolism)

I am a 22 year old guy and I'm having trouble trying to put on weight...I live on a farm, thats why I feel embarassed and useless (as some people would say) being skinny and I want to be able to put on weight...I have a high metabolism...

I weigh 8 stone, although last year, while my parents were away I manage to get the house to myself to do some workouts, following a website "skinnygainmuscle.com" which was a bit of a rip off in the end but it seem to do a bit of a difference, I manage to go from 7 .5 to 8 in three weeks, but after that, nothing much happened...according to the site I have to keep eating until I'm really full, (fish and all the protein and carbohydrate stuff..most of the food they recommend are so expensive) and it was getting expensive and it said I need to buy their CD to know more...:(

how do I gain weight cheeply and effectively? at home without going to the gym...the gym is 20min away by car, and I dont feel ready yet...how do I gain weight and excercise

without my mom complaining i'm eating too much or the food I want is too expensive..

using weights at home..

and are there any how to excercise and gain muscle for skinny people out there...most of the things i search are either rip offs or for people who are naturally fat...

what advice could you give me in working out?

Starting strength is a good place to start out for weightlifting. It's true that when you are bulking, you have to eat in excess of what you normally eat. Lots of protein and the 'good' fats found in stuff like Avacados and FISH like salmon. Wish I was more knowledgable in helping you on the specifics of nutrition, but I personally just eat lots of fruits, meat and veggies. I used to be pretty skinny 2 years ago but I started weightlifting on and off (busy with highschool) and now I suppose I can consider myself to be lean. Lift big, eat big is what I say to myself. I too have a high metabolism so whatever I eat hardly packs on (and I eat a lot).
Here's a link that can help you out abit. It's FREE too.
