I am 29, married, and living in Los Angeles, CA. I work as a Financial Advisor for businesses and individuals. I rarely have time for activities outside of work and spend a great deal of my time trying to carve out a better income from my career. Contrary to what many believe Financial Advisors struggle everyday with generating income and I am no exception. I feel as though I have a great deal to offer my clients but have a difficult time meeting people open to the idea of being helped with their personal and business finances. I can't say that my work defines me though, as I have a very strong personality. I usually have a lot to say and I am very easy going most of the time just ask :)

I was born and raised in a very rural part of California, a small town called Yreka with a population of about 5000 people. I knew early on in my life that there was little opportunity in the area for developing a truly successful career or raising a family with any real level of comfort. I left home at 19 and went off to college in San Jose, CA. I loved living in San Jose and the surrounding bay area, the people were friendly, life moved at a moderate pace, and there were plenty of easily accessible places for an outdoor guy like me to go without too much trouble. After about 7 years living in this area I moved to Los Angeles to live with the woman who I would soon call my wife. It was at this time when a few monumental events took place: my grandfather passed away in December of 2005, one of my brothers committed suicide at the age of 44 in 2006, and I married my wife in July of 2007(easily the happiest moment of my life!). Since 2005 when I began my career as a financial advisor my career life has been quite a struggle, a neverending series of complications compounded by living in a new area and adjusting to new surroundings. But as is my nature, I remain optimistic despite feeling very out of control of most every aspect of my life.

I would like to be in a better situation financially, mentally, and physically. Since moving to Los Angeles I have little time for anything but work and home. Prior to moving here I used to work out regularly, spent a lot of time outdoors, and had a very large group of friends. I feel as though I have turned inward lately and I want to get back to the way I once was, feeling more in control of my life and my surroundings, and less angry at the world around me. I want to wake up excited about life again, not simply just getting up to go to work and feeling like a disappointment to everyone.
