 The wolf lives absolutly free. The wolf is loyal to the pack and lives life on the edge of the raw and carnal rules of life.

 The malmut.
Why:
 The malmut is a direct deciendent of the wolf. The malmut is a very loving and loyal dog. Malmuts also have a sharp degree of independence, required in order to keep the master alive when navigating through the harsh conditions of the northern territories.
