a series of unfortunate events

how to break a chain of pessimism and excuses

this morning i was a little late- but i didn't want to leave this one dirty bowl to soak in the sink.

i was mad that i had not stopped the show on the computer last night to take the dish to the sink to be rinsed and put in the washer. now its more time consuming.

in order to play the shows in Windows Media Player, i installed this CCCP codec pack. but when i pause the Player, it hogs the resources and hangs the computer, hence i've stopped pausing shows in order to take care of said dishes.

usually my thoughts get stuck there, with excuses and unspecific complaint, BUT now i see:

if i look for OPPORTUNITIES, i can sort the series of unfortunate events, without negative emotion, and clearly identify how to make a change that will make me happier.

i need to simply check for a software update or look thru the forums for a fix on that codec.

and THEN i'll be on time haha

WHAT ARE OPPORTUNITIES?

UPDATE::: i got the computer sorted! no dishes were left out last night!
