1. Listen to The Six by Tanimura Midnight. My greatest pump up song.
2. Settle upon the reason you want to improve your image. Sometimes some good ol competitive spirit helps in the sudden "I'm GOING TO DO IT" motivation. Whenever I slack off, I remember that somewhere out there, right at this moment, there is someone who is getting stronger, faster, better than me because he/she overcame the exact feelings of laziness I was feeling at the time.
3. Sometimes it's just better to just litterally start doing it like an automaton. There had been times when going to the gym was like me going to school in the morning. I didn't want to get out of bed, but I just started following the sequence of actions in my morning routine. When I zone back in, I'm already on the school bus haha.
4. Looking at facebook pictures helps. Well for me, since some of my friends are physically fitter than me. They don't know it, but they inspire me sometimes. My wallpaper is also a few motivational quotes and images, and I have a 'goal-body' image around my desktop to remind me why I WANT to get healhier.
#3 and #2 I find are the most effective since #4 can easily lead to a 2 hour photocreep journey... Actually #4 facebook is just not recommended... Yeah.
Good luck and posper brotein shakes!
says: I get up at 4 a.m. to train Monday-Saturday. I print out what I plan to do for the week. In my case I have mine in four week settings. I write down what body parts I plan to do for each day and have it in chart form so I can jot down any notes I can go back over. I also look for music on Amazon, purchase the track and download it to my MP3 player. I also have my training clothes ready to go. Do use an alarm clock as well. It really helps.
says: Wow thanks for the advice cara. Preparing the night before was a great idea. Never thought of it. I just got to prepare myself a gym music play list then Thank You.

It depends on whether you like going to the gym or not.
The easiest way is to prepare the night before get all your gym kit packed. Towels, gears or whatever and when the times comes get out of the house. Also if you have an mp3 player make a gym music play list.
Also set your mobile alarm to tell you to do.
If you are really blocked from going to the gym take a brisk walk. Remember you may not show instant results with this but constancy to purpose is the key.
Or maybe a workout partner... but I really thing is finding something you enjoy and sticking to it. Be that running, swimming, walking or whatever.
