I live alone and work for a small industrial parts retailer. I enjoy reading and weekly cookouts with my friends come sun, rain, or snow.

I grew up in ND and raised in a fairly conservative, borderline fundamentalist christian denomination, and attended most of grade school and all of high school in institutions sponsored and directed by said religious institution. I also attended college in Nebraska in an institution affiliated with the same denomination and earned by BS in Chemistry. I attempted to find a job and, having only mediocre success decided that graduate school was the way to go... three years and no degree later I realized that my somewhat half-cocked approach to the matter had been somewhat ill-advised.

While my current job doesn't pay much, they also don't expect much either. My current plan is to lose a significant amount of weight and return to school. I am currently trying to decide between a return to chemistry, which is where I have found many thrills, computers which I have always had a knack for, or to study to become a patent lawyer because I am greedy and want money (but I can change :))
