Shame on you
Shame on you Eric, for doing at least as much as most of the rest of us are doing. As long as you are reading it out loud, your brain is hearing it and it is sinking in. Don't stress too much as the important things will have stuck to the sticky side of your brain, saved for those rainy days when you really need them. And don't forget, that with Tools you can work at your own pace, so don't feel that you are falling behind at all.
Here's my checklist:
1. Have a great day!
Cheers, Bek
Loaded Questions
HEE HEE HEE!
Excuse me for laughing. When I first saw the title of this blog post I thought that you had fallen off some sort of alcohol bandwagon. Glad to hear that your overload has come from so much personal development!
I have only been on TOOLS for 5 days now but I can tell you that as a life coach who has gone through many different development programs, there almost always comes a point when you begin to feel overwhelmed by all of the daily affirmations, rituals and goal-setting exercises. But guess what? This actually means you are getting close.
I'm sure that you've heard in weight loss programs that it is always the last 10 pounds that is so hard to lose, right? Well what you are feeling right now is the last 10 pounds of roadblocks and obstacles. As long as you stick with the program and stay motivated to reach your goals, you will get there. You may just wake up tomorrow and be a brand new person seemingly "overnight".
The truth is that the transformation wouldn't have occurred overnight but rather have been a result of all of your hard work thus far. Nothing worth having comes as quick as we would like it or we would all be rich now.
Your idea about leaving yourself checklist check-in reminders is a good one. Set your watch alarm or leave Post-It notes for yourself around your home and office or even in your car. Every time you see one of the notes, go through your exercises and SMILE!
That's my two cents for what it's worth. Congratulations on coming this far in the journey. Stay encouraged.
Happy Living!

Having the same thoughts..........
Have to agree, the checklist is storming ahead and I can't muster the motivation to do so much in one sweep PLUS it is now taking nearly 1 and a half hours to go through the tools program itself. I'm on dial up so the videos (I like to do them first) take so long to load.
Am becoming more discerning though of what I'm doing and that is the control coming back in my life. Maybe a rationalisation or excuse but the main points I wanted to get out of this course have really stuck with me and I've kept them going religiously and now do them automatically. I'm very grateful for this.
Had initially decided to dedicate some time to go back through the course days and see what I have fallen behind on and reintroduce it. Of course have completely forgotten to do this and won't waste anyone's time with making up an excuse!
Following your own pace
I hear you...and wait...the list is going to get longer as you move on....
Tools (and the checklist) have truly become a morning ritual for me and the earlier I wake up in the morning, the more I enjoy the process of it.
I feel that I have all the time in the world to really sit down, without rushing in any way, before starting my day.
What helps me go through the checklist smoother is that I have stopped seeing it as an "I have to do" list, but rather as a lifestyle challenge and change.
The point of the checklist as I have started seeing it was truly a wake up call, to shake you up and get you to the mood.
Most of the things in the checklist were things that there were already part of my life, before I start the program.
I guess this helped me more embrace those old habits and welcome the new ones.... (or ponder about some of those)...one at a time....
(and yes..indeed the power of the dialogue with your inner voice and listening to your own voice reading out loud the checklist and affirmations helps that process of consciously - uncosciously applying actions and state of mind you truly wish to accomplish)
To be honest, even though I posted two messages on the blog section for the first time, I saw that I cannot do that with such an ease every day like most of you so beautifully do, monitoring each day and thoughts in a journal manner.
Having a whiteboard in my room and writing on it key words and sentences of the day (kind of my type of a journal) helps me stay focused on things that I kept throughout the program up until now and follow the checklist easier. This way, I don't feel overwhelmed, but rather accompanied by all these Tools making my journey "easier".
thank you!
thank you all for your great comments and insights!
it's really great to feel this fantastic support and I look forward to returning and giving it back!
