DAMMIT DEV!

He said it would happen-- and it DID! Why is this man such a freaking psychic?! He said last week: "You're going to hit a bump...."

And go figure-- I did. Not really a bump-bump, more like a mini-bump or a mole hill or something equally small.

I still logged in and did all my toolbox stuff everyday, but for some reason, this week I had a lot of difficulty really engaging in the exercises and the community.

So weird! I guess I've just been overwhelmed with all the other things going on in my life and busy with school, but I definitely feel that my tools experience this week has been hindered. So unfortunate!

I'm back in action though, boys! Don't you worry! I have an exam coming up this week, and HOPEFULLY a NEW computer coming my way in the next few days, so I will be ready to go!

Oh, I guess I will give a gratitude shout out to the federal government:

HOLLER!

I am grateful for tax-refunds.

Being a college student who works full time at a near-minimum wage job, the W2 is a blessing not a curse.

And while I feel you, if you make more money than me taxes are not such an exciting thing, I get it.

But for now, it is a great day to have all your money sent back to you-- It's like a savings account that you can't make transfers from no matter how bad you want to.... not even by paying extravagant fees!

How's that for a positive attitude?

So from now on, whenever you see those annoying deductions form your paycheck, think, "Savings account-- HELL YEAH."

I guess, that's the case if you get some of it back. If not, I suppose you'll just have to think about all the low-pay schmucks who pay out the same percentage as you and who can't pay their bills!

I don't know where this is all going, sorry.

I will, however, say that even though I've been spending less time on the tools site itself, I have seen the effects of the work in my attitude IMMENSELY!

This week I decided a little bit about my future. And while it is always subject to change, I actually have a plan for the immediate future that is looking great! I can honestly say that the only reason I felt the motivation this week that I did was because tools have awakened it inside me.

Come on, guys. I know you don't know me so you probably won't get what a big deal it is-- but I actually emailed someone about doing an internship in my field this summer! That is HUGE for me.

so yeah-- Tools works if you work it. So work it, cause you're worth it! (That's a little AA shout out, holler.)

Later taters!

High 5

Way to go! Applying for internship can be scarey but you overcame that and did it. Good for you on that and all your other accomplishes!!
