Day 2 to a new Me

First of all, I would like to thank all of you that commented on my blog from yesterday! All of your words helped keep me focused on why I am making the change and it keeps me in a positive frame of mind!

So yesterday, I feel that I did pretty well for trying to become more healthy. I didnt excessively eat, I had a pretty good workout, and I am staying positive about the change! The only thing that I wish I would have done better is get a better night's sleep. I kept waking up for no reason which makes it a miserable night of sleep. Oh well, tonight will be better I am sure! The thing that i am the most proud of yesterday was that i made a salad for dinner. I have really tried to lower the size of my dinner since everything that I have read says that your last meal of the day shouldnt be very large. I was able to eat the salad and have learned that with the right ingredients, you can be full and not hungry for the rest of the night!

My workout wasnt too bad. I did a leg workout and then finished with 20 min on an elliptical (trying to keep them from getting sore). Today, I have to say that my legs arent too bad.

So there it is, day 1 was a success and so far, day 2 is following up pretty well! So far, I had a bowl of cereal and a glass of orange juice to eat, but lunch is coming (which will be a small turkey sandwich, some yogurt, a clementine and a banana). I have identified a little problem with my breakfast though. I think that I need to start measuring out a serving to prevent me from over eating. Once I do that, I think that my portions for breakfast and lunch will be under control. The only thing left to tackle will be dinner! One step at a time!! Right?!

Thanks again to all of you supporters and keep up the good work!
