Hi! I’m Matt. I’m 39 and a single dad with a 19 year old son and a 17 year old daughter and love my committed relationship that has withstood the stormy seas of repressed trauma to the calm waters of self-realization.

 

I’ve worked in the Human Services field for a number of years, specifically in the area of drug and alcohol treatment, but I’ve recently changed focus and now work with people in the legal system with psychological disorders.

 

My motive is to have purpose… that’s all. To feel that I’m not drifting aimlessly in a direction with no destination. Of course, that in itself is an impossibility, but on a daily basis, it can still feel that way.

 

 It’s always been my motto that my best years haven’t happened yet, which I truly believe, and through courage, passion, and a ferocious commitment to truth, I hope to find that the way to reach that place is to realize that I’m already there.

 When they swing from tree to tree, they're graceful, confident, precise, and have no fear of failing (falling).

 Cats

 I relate most to a cats personality. They don't trust easily and error on the side of caution, if necessary, they can survive on their own, they're loyal if you are loyal and of you are, they love you forever.
A famous Chef will prepare anything you want. What do you order:
 Lasagna!
Why:
 It's my favorite food... that's why!

 Jimmi Hendrix, Sigmund Freud, Erik Erikson, Sid Vicious, and the 14th Dalia Lama of Tibet.
Why:
 I just want to sit next to Jimmi and hear his love antidote commentary no matter what's presented. I want to hear Freud and Erikson debate the true nature of the human condition while Sid Vicious burps and spills his wine glass thus representing the separation from any social norm. And, the Dalia Lama, who will say nothing but giggle like a school boy at everything he sees and hears.

 Trance-techno, extreme metal/punk CD, More psychodelic techno. Hypnotic trance music distorts time and distance perception on long road trips for me. All CD's would be in MP3 formate so I would have hours of music.
If I could do anything for my neighborhood today, it would be:
 Create a job resouce center for teens that has the same things other existing programs have but with the added community outreach, and job placement services with tax breaks and on-the-job training incentives for employers to hire my neighborhood kids.

 Neo from "The Matrix" (the first one)
Why:
 He questioned reality and found the truth. Of course, in a futuristic fictional sense, but it's a good practice anyway..
