Letting the little things go

I do little things that drive my wife crazy.  She points them out and I try to correct them.  She, in turn, does little things that drive ME crazy:  laying sticky spoons on the counter instead of the spoon rest, leaving wet towels on the floor instead of using the hooks, leaving empty/half-empty pop cans EVERYWHERE, not replacing toilet paper, etc.

So, in the interest of making my life simpler, easier, and more enjoyable do I a) confront her about these things (again) and risk a fight, b) ignore them and leave the mess for her to clean up, or c) keep my mouth shut, clean up things when I see them, and not worry about it because she's probably doing the same for me even though I don't see it?

I'm not a neat freak, but I'm not a slob.  I want to do more to around the house and maybe this is how I can help out.  I just don't want to be grumbling to myself.  I'm thinking option C, but I'll take suggestions.
