everything begins & everything ends

I set magic in the air & seeds that became
powerful plants with educating spirits who taught,
my tears over time became your seas of blue
w/ mysterious creatures you've used & fought,
I coated your planet w/ a protectant you slowly destroyed,
as you poisoned the air I whatched your world rot,
& as I loved you,
you ignored all my art,
you waged war on your brothers,
forgiveness forgot,
& as the mountains crumble
atop your valleys,
& the oceans swallow you up,
as fierce storms destroy you,
help you further I will not.

Everything begins & everything ends,
the time has come-it's too late for amends,
your living your last days, this isn't pretend,
& I promise I won't interfere again...fairwell.

the End

The end is only the beginning of something new.

It's never too late

It's never too late for amends.  Hope springs eternal.  I don't think the Great Spirit abandons us, we abandon the Great Spirit and then blame the Spirit for our suffering when we brought it upon ourselves. Consciousness is all.

Amends

Speaking of amends, I believe I need to let you know how much I appreciate the consciousness you raise with your wise poem.  When I was thinking about this later in the day, I hoped you wouldn't take my comment as argumentative or as a"correction" of your poem.

My comment was kind of a riff off of the comment that came before mine and reflected what I wrote in my own blog the other day about Shiva and Lakshmi - the Hindu gods of destruction and love.  I hope you understand that I was appreciative of the thought path your poem inspired in me, and my comment was made in the spirit of dialogue.

All the best,

Kayla
