New Addition to the Lam family! (the birthing experience.)

Hi all,

Haven't been blogging/logging into tools since my the birth of my baby girl Mckayla!

That was 18July2008! 6.28am! 3.9KG!!

I am glad that I'm back!!

Birthing Stpry goes>>I started having contractions on 17july08 at abt 5++pm. Admitted to hospital at 2am (by then contractions were 10mins apart). Doctor broke my water bag and I started having more intense contractions at 3++am.. I thought I could bear the pain so I didn't ask for any anesthetic. My mum gave birth to 5 of us all natural delivery w/o anesthetic!!

The nurses saw me struggling so they asked me to use the gas mask. I felt much relieved but the pain just keep increasing until I got urge to push. I feel like screaming cos it was so intense. Then when I have to push.. It felt like everything was getting worse..I felt like dying.. It's like a matter of life and death.

And I hear this voice saying "Where's your God?" And I spoke strongly in my mind that even I have to use anesthetic I will still believe and trust in Jesus. Soon after an hour I pushed Mckayla out successfully! That was a turning point of my life! I just feel so grateful of my mother! That she gave birth to me! to my husband who is so supportive of me! to the medical staffs whose instructions of labouring are so precious!

At the same time, I felt so much that I need to work harder to achieve my life goals.

When I return home, I felt life with a baby is so challenging. Is just so tiring I cried every night for the first week. It was also hormonal. Thank God now I feel that I am adjusting more and also have a better life! Especially the little one that brings added joy into my family!
