What am I doing wrong?

It doesn't seem to matter how many times I say to my husband that we can't afford to put anything on the Visa or take money out of the line of credit, he keeps doing it! All I want to do right now is sell every piece of jewellery I own and anything that is of value to get out of debt and every month he hides his line of credit statement from me (except yesterday I managed to get to the mail before him). How can I get him to understand that we may end up losing our house if we don't get out of debt??? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Lung Cancer fight

I got the news on Tuesday that my Mom has stage 3 lung cancer. She underwent surgery near the end of August and had almost her entire right lung removed. The results were given to her Tuesday by the oncologist. The bottom portion of the lung had stage 3 tumours along with two lymphnodes.

She has decided since talking with her family doctor to try chemo, at least one dose and see how she does. She will undergo blood tests and chest xrays every 3 months as well. She is in good spirits considering she is still recovering from the surgery and the recent news she got.

I can't imagine how she is feeling. I am finding it hard to manage the thoughts going through my mind. Everything I read brings me to the conclusion that she may have 1.5 years left at the most. Stage 3 is rapid growing and hard to cure.

My mom is the bravest person I know. I love her and pray for her.

Job Focus

Well today became a Job Focus Day. I applied for 3 great positions with different colleges. Although I am currently working, the job is not mine. My job was taken away from me in June when the lay offs began. I am thankful for being able to go to work everyday for the next few months while I'm filling in, but I would very much like to have a job that is my own again.
