Forget about it!

Wow ... I am continually amazed at how the things we need come hitting us smack dab in the face when we need then.

Such it was today with the readings on forgetting about issues in the past.

Dev's analogy hit home and was just what I needed.

I had an 'incident' with my ex last night at a family function and it was an incident that immediately brought back 30 years of hurt and emotions and while no one there knew but me how affected I was, it made me realize ... I had to "FORGET ABOUT IT".

It sure feels good when you flush that toilet, wash your hands and leave that environment.

I will use this analogy at every future family function ... the bathroom may become my new best friend! lol (after all ... there are ALWAYS bathrooms near by - when 'situations' arise - it's easy to go flush them down the toilet!).

I feel empowered!

I am so grateful for this day!

Janet

Success

I guess you could say that you're now flushed with success!  Sorry!

As you say, it's truly amazing how often Dev's "theme/message for the day" is highly relevant and needed the minute it appears ...

Or perhaps on the other days we're not faced with a challenge that the message will solve ... or salve!  Good to realise though that it's being stored for future reference and when we need the information or lesson, we will drag it up from the recesses of our minds and put it to use.

Just love the concept of dealing with problems in this way ... will have a chuckle when I reach this day in my journey ...

Keep on travelling, my friend!

Thanks for sharing

Janet, I too, am amazed at how timely the daily "message of the day" is. It reinforces the concept of completing Tools upon arising. I always have a little nugget that I can use for the day.
On the days when I "wait until later" to complete Tools, it never fails that I could have used the lesson earlier in the day and had a more positive outcome in an interaction or encounter.
Love the analogy you shared.
Thanks.
