The realities of life ... .

Today is a difficult day ....

I'm waiting for news that my best friend's husband has passed on ....

I hurt ... for many reasons.

I'm 3000  miles away and have not been able to be there for my friend as she has become care giver for her husband since November when he suffered a stroke.

The tests showed advanced cancer in his brain, liver and lungs.

Last night the priest was called to give last rights.

I'm waiting ... for their suffering to be over.

It's not an easy time ... but I will be there for my friend and be her strength as she goes through this horrific time.

Grace met Norm when we were just 13 years old .... they have had a full life together and I love them dearly.

Grace is more sister to me than friend.

All of you here at tools are my strength as I help my friend through these next days and months.
